Making tunes from this dead simple drum machine, which runs in your web browser, is really fun.
This HTML5 Drum Machine aesthetic look is borrowed from the classic beat boxes of the TR-808 Rhythm Composer. It comes with five different sound banks: - hip hop, techno, house, electro and acoustic. Each of the banks has 13 different sounds and you can tweak each to create your own individual volume and tone. Pick your bank, hit the play button, and then lay down your instruments on the 16-step sequencer interface which runs across at the bottom. After making sure that you have laid down your beat, you are free to export it as a Wav file.
You don’t need to have prior experience to use this drum machine. It is so simplified and yet its beat-maker is smart enough for you impress yourself in just a few minutes. You will be able to figure it out even on your own, but if you are a total fresher, here is a simple tip: it is important to remember that for each of the 16 "steps" that is in the sequence, you can play with each of the 13 sounds in a bank. If you click on one sound— let’s say the kick — you can easily place that sound in any or even on all of the 16 slots. Then clicking on the next instrument, you will again be given the option of sticking it in all 16 slots.
Drum machines and software instruments can be intimidating to an amateur, but working on them can also be really engaging. The HTML5 Drum Machine is loads of fun and you're sure to get carried away by the beats!
